Whether you're considering therapy for the first time, returning after a break, or exploring a new approach, I want to acknowledge how meaningful it is that you're taking this step, because it isn’t always easy. Change and exploration can be uncomfortable, especially when we're already feeling overwhelmed. Adding one more thing to an already full plate can feel daunting, and if that resonates with you, know that your feelings are completely valid. Even just considering therapy is a sign of strength and self-awareness. I hope you can take a moment to give yourself credit for that.

If you're feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, or simply not like yourself, you're not alone. I’ve found that these are often normal responses to abnormal or challenging life circumstances—whether those challenges are current, rooted in the past, or a mix of both.


My approach is based on witnessing and experiencing how we all develop parts of ourselves and patterns of coping that once served a purpose. Over time, though, some of those patterns may no longer support the lives we want to live. I believe that change is possible not because you or something is “broken” and needs fixing, but because we all have inner resources that can be nurtured and strengthened.


Healing happens when we feel safe, understood, and empowered to make choices that align with our values. My role is to offer guidance—not direction—supporting you as the expert in your own life while you work toward meaningful, sustainable change and a more compassionate relationship with yourself and with those important to you. Since earning my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2014, I’ve had the privilege of working with adult, teen, and geriatric populations in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings.


These experiences have deepened my understanding of the many ways people respond to life’s challenges and have shaped my integrative approach to therapy.

Andrea's APPROACH

I primarily work from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective, helping clients build compassionate and curious relationships with the parts of themselves that may hold pain, shame, or protective roles.


To support this inner work, I incorporate practical skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—including emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness—to manage overwhelming emotions and strengthen communication.


I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients connect with their values and take meaningful steps forward, even in the presence of difficult thoughts or feelings.
